Old Town Hotel - Kandy

The owner is a total rockstar - picked us up from the train station and cooked us an out-of-this-world Sri Lankan breakfast with produce straight from his garden. The room was spotless, spacious, and had a balcony with a killer view. Super convenient location, just a quick stroll to the city center and near the lake. The owner also took us on a cultural adventure and made sure my vegan diet was totally taken care of. Will defo be telling all our pals about this hidden gem.

Clean apartmet with big balcony so close to the main sites in Kandy, the island, the Kandy lake.

The apartment was fairly clean and had location close enough to the bus station, and attraction in the area. It was marvellous in the Old Town...

This place was really clean and had a unique charm, the location was fantastic and super convenient, being close to all the main attractions, including the city center and the temple of the tooth relic; we had an amazing three-night stay and we definitely want to return.

During my stay at this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable bed and the delicious breakfast that was included in the room fee. the Sri Lankan family who runs the place made me feel right at home and their hospitality was exceptional. the location of the hotel was convenient, allowing me to easily explore the city and its attractions.

despite the advertisement stating that all rooms had balconies, only three out of the six rooms actually had them. This led to some confusion and disappointment.

I really liked the new accommodation and the views of the mountain and football field were fantastic.

The location of this place is excellent, just next to the lake and Tooth Temple, and it offers a wide variety of traditional options.

The apartment was excellent and clean. It had views over the mountains and a football field. The staff were amazingly great people. I had a nice stay and will definitely visit again soon! 😊

Room was not comfortable, bed and mattress were old and uncomfortable. No wifi inside the room.

our second stay in kandy was even better than the first. the guesthouse was tucked away in a quiet area, but still close to the lake. the hosts were incredibly welcoming and even went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. the breakfasts were delicious, the wifi was reliable, and the room with a balcony was spacious and comfortable.

The location was peaceful and just a short walk to Montefano, as well as a mountain and a lake nearby, making it a great spot for relaxation and outdoor activities. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be coming back soon.

The rooms at this hotel were really nice and clean, and I especially loved the ones with a balcony. The view from there was amazing! The manager of the hotel was the best so far, he was really nice and helpful. He even went out of his way to bring us some beer when we needed it. The location of the hotel was great too, just a little bit outside of the city, which made it quiet and peaceful.

That the rooms without a balcony had only little windows. However, considering the price, it was still good value for money.
